This is the story of Shrieking Violet, a group of Englishmen captivated by music and the beauty in small things. The inspiration came to them at the end of the 20th century, at the time of the legendary music festival “Glastonbury”. This festival was held for the first time in 1970, the day after the death of Jimi Hendrix, on a dairy farm near the town of Glastonbury in southern England. Since then, the festival has been held almost every year and has become the largest music festival in the world with over a hundred thousand visitors and over 2,000 performers. In the 1990s, a little mysteriously near the site of the festival, a monument appeared, which is a stone circle, somewhat in the style of Stonehenge. It was where our Shrieking Violet friends loved to go after long nights spent dancing and watching the sun rise over the lovely fields of Somerset. “After spotting a lone daisy touching the early sunlight, a spark was born that eventually led us to capture this natural beauty in jewelry.” Shrieking Violet jewelry is handcrafted from sterling silver and tiny flowers that are encapsulated in resin. They have specially created gardens for growing miniature flowers to use in jewelry making. They are then carefully selected, stored and arranged into beautiful creations to be worn as jewelry. Floral jewelery collections include rose, poppy, forget-me-not, daisy, heather and even four-leaf clovers, featured in necklaces, pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, bangles, brooches and cufflinks.
